Police on patrol in Newry on Friday, 21st June, stopped a male in the Edward Street area around 7.30pm. Officers seized two bags of white powder and the 21 year old male was arrested for possession of Class A drugs. He was later released on bail pending further enquiries.

Man, 44, arrested after Newry police seize £15,000 of cannabis

Detectives from the PSNI’s local Tactical Crime Team have recovered cannabis plants worth an estimated £15,000. The drugs haul came following a planned search of a house in the Ballycoshone Road area of Newry this morning (Friday 28th June).
