Bradley expresses sadness over Camlough Road death

SDLP Newry and Armagh MLA Dominic Bradley has expressed sadness at the death of a man after he was struck by a lorry on the Camlough Road.

Bradley was speaking to Newry Times after police revealed a man, believed to be in his 20’s, died following an incident on Newry’s Camlough Road. The incident happened at around 7.50am this morning when a lorry struck a pedestrian close to the Egyptian Arch.

Bradley said: “This is a terrible tragedy and our thoughts are with the victim’s family and the lorry driver who must be extremely distressed at this time.”

He added, “I know that the local community is very shocked and I have no doubt that they will be supportive of the deceased’s relatives and friends in the difficult days and months which lie ahead.”
