Three Ways Youth Group hosted a successful coffee morning recently at the Three Ways Community Centre, raising an impressive £438.50 to support their personal and social development programme.

Three Ways Youth Group is dedicated to aiding young people aged 14 and above as they transition from adolescence to adulthood.

The programme focuses on educational attainment, building resilience, encouraging active citizenship, and preparing participants for the challenges and opportunities of adult life.

The funds raised from the coffee morning will significantly contribute to the development of the young people involved in the project.

Project leader Padraig Harte expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support received from the community.

“We are truly grateful to the many sponsors, including Slieve Gullion Bouncing Castle Hire, who donated a bouncy castle that the young ones thoroughly enjoyed, Chunky Sandwiches, Corn Dolly Foods, The Shelbourne Newry, The Sunray, and Sweet Cheeks HC for their generous hospitality,” Padraig says.

“We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the parents and residents who kindly baked fresh goods.”

Padraig continues, “The turnout on the day was fantastic, with residents and supporters of our youth programmes and community association showing up in great numbers.

“We are truly appreciative of everyone’s kindness. A special mention to our young people who continue to lead by example and strive to become the best version of themselves.”

Three Ways Community Association says it remains committed to fostering a supportive environment where young people can thrive and develop essential life skills.

The success of the coffee morning is a testament to the strong community spirit and the dedication of everyone involved in making a positive impact on the lives of young people.
