Seamus Mallon – ‘A Shared Home Place’ event to take place in Newry | Newry News

The John and Pat Hume Foundation is organising the third event in honour of Seamus Mallon on the theme of ‘A Shared Home Place’, which will be held at 7.00 pm on Friday, 22 September 2023, in the Canal Court Hotel, Newry.

Tim Attwood, Hume Foundation Secretary, says, “Seamus Mallon was committed to the genuine reconciliation of conflicting traditions using only peaceful means.

“It is vitally important that we reflect on the generous words in his book ‘A Shared Home Place’ and engage in a positive, inclusive and challenging conversation about people, peace and politics on the island over the next 25 years.”
