NI Water Picks Up Second Award for Diversity and Inclusion | Newry News Today
NI Water is celebrating after being recognised as the best of Belfast Business in becoming the inaugural winner of the Diversity and Inclusion award at the Belfast Chamber Business Awards.
The win is the latest achievement for the local utility, having recently picked up two prestigious diversity awards at the Responsible Business Awards in Northern Ireland; ‘Diversity and Inclusion’ and ‘Fair Chance For All’.
The Diversity and Inclusion award recognises organisations that exhibit exceptional practice and exemplary contributions towards improving diversity and inclusion in their business and/or industry.
Belfast Chamber’s independent panel of judges remarked on NI Water’s ‘outstanding and industry-leading practices and commitment to diversity and inclusion in business which goes way beyond what is normal’.
Sara Venning, CEO at NI Water, comments, “We are absolutely thrilled to have won this award against exceptional competition for our commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive environment which benefits our colleagues and our community.
“This achievement and our success at the recent Business in the Community Awards is a testament to the culture we have created at NI Water, to ensure that everyone is welcome and included, people are valued for who they are and for the contributions they make in delivering what matters to Northern Ireland.
“To each and every employee who has played a key role in our success, all of these awards are for you.
“It is a privilege to be a part of this organisation,” she adds.
