Ennis welcomes BBC plans to increase coverage of Gaelic Games | News in Newry
Sinn Féin’s Sinéad Ennis has welcomed plans to increase coverage of Gaelic Games and help end the block on live coverage for northern viewers.
Sinéad Ennis explains, “Plans to launch a new GAAGO streaming service for live coverage of GAA games across the island is welcome news for Gaels.
“This new service follows on from recent confirmation that BBC is also set to boost its coverage of GAA matches.
“These are all important steps forward that will improve coverage of the island’s biggest spectator sport and help end the block on northern viewers watching Gaelic Games.
“Sinn Féin will continue working to end the digital partition and ensure audiences across all of Ireland are respected and treated equally,” she adds.
