A 17-year-old male has been charged with 23 motoring-related offences.

The offences include four counts of dangerous driving and four counts of using a motor vehicle without insurance.

Other offences include causing grievous bodily injury by dangerous driving.



The charges are in relation to a road traffic collision at the Drumlough Road area of Rathfriland on Monday 18 July.

A police vehicle was rammed by a car.

Two officers were taken to hospital for their injuries following the incident.



He is due to appear at Newry Youth Court on Friday 5 August.

As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
