Kimmins welcomes resurfacing progress for Newry’s Windmill Road | Newry Times

Sinn Féin’s Liz Kimmins has welcomed further progress on planned resurfacing works for the Windmill Road in Newry.

“Following our consistent lobbying over the last number of years, Councillor Valerie Harte and I have obtained a further update on the planned resurfacing for Windmill Road in Newry from the Dept for Infrastructure,” Liz explains.

 

 

“The Newry Section Office has confirmed that Windmill Road is a priority for resurfacing.

“They are currently appointing a contractor to carry out this vital work.

“Once a contractor is appointed, the work will commence as soon as possible.

“We will continue to engage with DFI on the Windmill Road and other roads that have been awaiting resurfacing for some time now, and will keep the community updated,” she adds.
