Now in its 25th year, the free exhibition is organised jointly by the Department of Finance and the Office of Public Works (OPW) in Dublin.

The exhibition will run until Wednesday 30 March 2022, daily from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm at Belfast City Council’s ‘Imaginarium’ at 2 Royal Avenue in Belfast City Centre.

Speaking following his visit, Minister Murphy says, “I am delighted we are bringing this year’s exhibition to this fantastic new arts venue in the heart of Belfast.

“Visitors will be able to enjoy the work of many local artists.

“These joint exhibitions play a key role in making the artworks in the two departments’ collections accessible to the public and bringing them to a much wider audience.

“The Department of Finance has been working with the Office of Public Works in organising art exhibitions since 1997 and they have toured extensively throughout Ireland.”

OPW Chairman Maurice Buckley says, “This year, artworks were chosen with the theme of animals and creatures, and the emerging exhibition All Creatures Great and Small, reflects the wide variety of artworks on display from both collections.

“The artworks featured are a wonderful example of the talent and creativity, alive in the visual arts today.

“OPW is pleased to participate in this project, to highlight how we support our island’s creative economy, and we join with Minister Murphy to invite audiences to enjoy the exhibition while it is in Belfast.”

The exhibition will then move to Bangor Library from 1 to 28 April 2022.
