Newry burglary: 5 masked intruders prevent occupants from leaving while ransacking house
PSNI Detectives at Ardmore are appealing for information following a Burglary incident in Newry.
The burglary took place in the Woodlands area of Newry last night, Wednesday, 4 November.
Speaking to Newry Times, Detective Inspector Handley said, “It was reported between 8:00 pm and 8:30 pm that five masked intruders entered the property.”
Detective Inspector Handley said the masked intruders prevented the occupants from leaving while searching through and ransacking the house before leaving.
Detective Inspector Handley continued, “This was a highly distressing incident for those involved.
“And I am asking that anyone with information contacts Police.
“I would be particularly interested in any dashcam footage in the area which may be available.

“Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
“Crimestoppers is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime,” Detective Inspector Handley added.
