Newry stabbing: Police charge 42-year-old man with two counts of attempted murder

Detectives have charged a 42-year-old man with a number of offences including attempted murder (2 x counts) and possession of a class A controlled drug with intent to supply.

The charges are in connection with an incident which took place in First Avenue, Newry.

 

 

Police say the incident happened at around 10.50pm on Saturday, 19 September.  

The man appeared at Newry Magistrates Court this morning, Monday, 21 September.

Detectives are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them at Ardmore on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 2401 19/09/20.
