Appeal for witnesses after Newry restaurant burglary

Police in Newry are appealing for information following a report of a burglary at commercial premises.

 

Newry restaurant burglary in Merchant's Quay - Newry news

 

The burglary happened at a restaurant in the Merchant’s Quay area of the city.

 

 

Between 12:45 am and 11:40 am on Tuesday 11 August, it was reported that entry was gained to the rear of a restaurant in the area.

It was reported that damage was caused to a door during the incident.

Police said a sum of money was taken.

A small television set and earphones were also taken from the premises.

 

 

Damage was also caused to a freezer inside the premises during the incident.

Enquiries are continuing and police would appeal to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident to contact them on 101 quoting 685 11/08/20.
