Witnesses sought after homeowner wakes to find two burglars in property

Detectives in Newry are investigating a burglary in the Bann Road area of Castlewellan.

It took place in the early hours of the morning on Saturday 25 July.

 

 

Detective Constable Jay Slevin said, “It was reported to police at around 12:50 am that the occupant woke up to discover two young men in the property.

“The two men made off from the scene, a quantity of cash was taken.

“One of the men is described as being mid-20s and wearing a grey hoodie and black trousers.

 

 

“We would appeal to anyone with any information to contact detectives on 101.

“Quote reference number 97 of 25/07/20.
