Consumer Council’s Energy Price Comparison Tool helps consumers find the best deal

The Consumer Council has updated its independent online Energy Price Comparison Tool to allow energy consumers to find the cheaper natural gas and electricity prices tariffs that came into effect from today, Wednesday 1 April 2020.

Speaking to Newry Times, Paulino Garcia, Head of Energy Policy at The Consumer Council, said, “The gas price decreases that SSE Airtricity Gas NI in Greater Belfast and Firmus Energy in Ten Towns announced recently are coming into effect from today.

 

 

“In addition, Click Energy is introducing two new tariffs for existing and new customers offering an 8% discount on its current prices and a £48 saving on the typical Click Energy annual bill.

 

 

“The Consumer Council advises energy consumers in Northern Ireland to use our online Electricity and Natural Price Comparison Tool to find the best deal for them.

Paulino added, “Electricity consumers can save up to £111 on the typical annual bill and gas consumers in Greater Belfast up to £23.”
