Coronavirus Northern Ireland: 20 new NI cases brings total to 148

Latest update on coronavirus (Covid-19)

As of 2pm on Monday 23 March, testing has resulted in 20 new positive cases.

 

 

This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Northern Ireland to 148.

To date, two people who tested positive have sadly died.

The total number of tests completed in Northern Ireland is 2692.

 

 

The age groups of those tested include 52 people aged between 0 and 44.

In the 45 – 69 age group, 51 people tested positive for Covid-19.

45 people in the 70+ age group tested positive.

 

 

Of all those who tested positive, 64 were females and 84 were males.

People with mild symptoms – new persistent cough and/or fever – should stay at home and self-isolate.

They will not require testing and will not, therefore, be included in testing totals.
