Speaking to Newry Times, Detective Constable McAteer said, “It’s believed the burglary took place at some stage between the morning of Thursday 20 and the evening of Saturday 22 February.

“The property has been rummaged through.

“Several items of jewellery have been reported missing.

“I am appealing to anyone with information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to contact us on 101 quoting reference number 1412 of 22/02/20.

“In particular, did you see a silver/grey vehicle or anyone on foot acting suspiciously in the area over the last few days?”

Detective Constable McAteer added, “Information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
