Appeal for witnesses after Bessbrook collision

Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision in the Mill Road area of Bessbrook on Thursday night, 13 February.

Speaking to Newry Times, Constable Quigley said, “It was reported that, at around 8.20pm, a black Volkswagen Golf being driven in the area collided with a stone wall and an electricity pole.

“This caused considerable damage, leaving local residents temporarily without electricity.

“The driver left the scene before police arrived.

He added, “We are appealing to anyone with information, who witnessed the collision, or who may have captured dash cam footage, to contact us on 101 quoting reference number 1840 of 13/02/20.”
