Man charged after two police cars rammed

A 38-year-old man has been charged with driving with excess alcohol in breath.

He was also charged with failing to stop for police, no driving licence and using a motor vehicle without insurance.

The charges are in connection with an incident in the Forkhill area last night. 



The man was arrested in the North Bridge area after failing to stop for Police on the Newry Road around 11.40pm. 

Two police cars were rammed by the offending car during the incident.



He appeared before Newry Magistrates Court today, Thursday 9 January.
