Cash taken during house burglary in Warrenpoint

Police in Newry are appealing for information.

The appeal follows a burglary of a house on Avoca Lawn, Warrenpoint.

Speaking to Newry Times, Inspector John Kerr said, “It was reported that sometime between 6.00 pm and 8.00 pm on Wednesday 30 October entry was gained to the property.”

 

 

A sum of cash was taken.

“Enquiries are continuing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area to contact us on 101, quoting reference number 1876 of 30/10/19.

 

 

“Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

He added, “Crimestoppers is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
