Newry police charge two men after “public order incidents”

Detectives in Newry investigating a number of public order incidents in the Bearna Park area of Meigh last Thursday, 10 October, have charged two men with a number of offences.

The two men, aged 25 and 50 years old, have been charged with offences including criminal damage and arson.

They were also charged with possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

They are both due to appear at Newry Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 18 October.

As is normal procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
