Slieve Gullion Area Sinn Féin Councillor Terry Hearty has welcomed confirmation from the Department of Infrastructure (DfI) that they will resurface Concession Road from Ballynacarry Bridge to the speed limit signs in Cullaville during the current financial year.

The local Councillor stated, “This is welcome news. Roads Service had stated that they intended to only resurface from Culloville to the Loughross Road but I and my colleague Megan Fearon MLA insisted that the full stretch needed attention.

“We are content that the Department agreed with our rationale”.

The Sinn Féin representative added, “Confirmation of the timescale for completion is not available at present.

“I and Megan will continue to push for this and will keep local residents, motorists and pedestrians informed.”
