Warrenpoint Town part ways with Matthew Tipton
Matthew Tipton has left Warrenpoint Town Football Club.
He has been appointed as Portadown manager on a two and a half year contract.
Following last night’s game, the Board of Warrenpoint Town agreed to part ways with Matthew Tipton.
Speaking to Newry Times, Chairman Connaire McGreevy said, “After a conversation with Matthew last night we have parted ways by mutual consent.
“Warrenpoint Town is a club in transition and the positive moves forward continue on and off the pitch.
“We have appointed UEFA A coach Stephen McDonnell, a former international player and player of Warrenpoint, Celtic and Dundalk as interim manager until the end of the season,” he added.
