Housing Executive staff raise £650 for PIPS Newry and Mourne

£650 has been raised by staff from the Newry Housing Executive office, who took part in a charity race event in September.

Staff took part in a 10km walk/5km walk in the memory of Stephen Morgan.

The staff raised money for the PIPS Newry and Mourne charity with t-shirts provided by local Response Maintenance Contractor Carillion.

Loma Wilson, from the Newry Office said, “This was a great effort by everyone in the local office and those friends and family who kindly donated.

“The money raised will go towards the PIPS Newry and Mourne charity, who do excellent work and it is a fitting tribute to the memory of Stephen.”

Thelma Thompson, Fundraising Coordinator for PIPS Newry and Mourne added, “I would like to take this opportunity to thank staff from the Newry Housing Executive office and to all who supported them.

“PIPS Newry and Mourne are extremely grateful for all their help and support for raising these much needed funds, that will be used to help reduce the stigma of suicide and increase awareness in the area,” she added.
