Gold watches and medals taken in Newry burglary

Detectives are appealing for information following the report of a burglary at a house in the Mountain View area of Killeavy, Newry on Friday, 25th August.

The house was entered sometime between 2.30pm and 4.00pm.



Two men’s gold watches and a number of medals were stolen.

Speaking to Newry Times, Detective Constable McAteer appealed to anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity or vehicles in the area between 2.30pm and 4.00pm on Friday, 25th August to contact Police at Newry on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 881 25/08/17.



He added, “Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
