Man suffers facial injuries in Newry assault

Police in Newry are appealing for information in relation to an assault in the Mourneview Park/Erskine Street area of Newry on Wednesday, 21st June.

Speaking to Newry Times, Constable Leahy said, “It was reported that sometime between 7:00 – 7:15 pm a man in his 20s was assaulted and received facial injuries as a result of this.

“A man in his 30s and two men in their 20s have since been arrested and are helping police with their enquiries.

He added, “I would ask anyone with information to contact Newry station on 101 quoting reference 1180 21/06/17, or if they wish to remain anonymous Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
