Police return to scene of fatal collision
Police investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a motorcyclist in a road traffic collision on Sunday 28th May have returned to the scene on the Kilkeel Road in Ballymartin today, Sunday 11th June in a bid to gather new information about the crash.
Speaking to Newry Times, Sergeant Paul Connolly said, “The collision happened around 12 noon on that Sunday at the end of May and we will be at the scene again today stopping and talking to motorists who might have been in the area at that time and who may have witnessed either the incident itself or something that could be significant to our investigation.

“We are also making a fresh appeal for drivers who have dashcams fitted in their cars or motorcyclists with helmet cameras, and who would have been on the main road between Ballymartin and Kilkeel around the time the collision occurred, to contact police.

He added, “Anyone with information should call police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 622 of 28/5/17.”
