Close call for Newry motorcyclist after laser pointer incident
Newry City Sinn Féin Councillor Charlie Casey has said that lives are being endangered due to incidents of laser pointer being shone into motorists eyes.
The Councillor was commenting after an incident in Newry.
On the Camlough Road a driver of a motor cycle had a narrow escape after being dazzled by a laser aimed at him.

“Lives are being endangered by these types of actions,” Casey told Newry Times.
“Shining a laser pointer at drivers is incredibly dangerous and could have fatal consequences.
“The lasers could have temporarily blinded this motor cyclist, causing a collision.

He added, “This kind of dangerous behaviour risks lives and must be stopped.”
