- Complete all relevant legal documentation relating to client’s cases;
- Instruct barristers on the commencement and progress of proceedings;
- Communicate effectively to the business in relation to changes in legislation and legal policies and Court judgements;
- Make recommendations on cases based on input from external experts and internal reviews;
- Preparation of file audit for review by the Banking Division providing case progress and minutes.
- Review title deeds to confirm good marketable title;
- Audit of title deeds inventory and tracking of deeds location;
- Liaise with the Banking team and panel barristers regarding the enforceability of mortgage charges;
- Work closely with the firm to assist in the rectification of deed issues;
- Management of file from inception of proceedings to conclusion.
- Ensure all tasks are conducted in a manner compliant with all policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
- Providing advice and guidance to the Banking team in relation to cases in the legal process;
- Support the business to bring high value, contentious litigation and conveyance cases to a satisfactory settlement and conclusion.
- Lead, develop, enhance and maintain all reporting and analysis for the team including legal statistic, court case actions/results, legal costs etc.;
- Ensure weekly audit reports are completed within the set time frame.
- Involvement in a variety of projects as directed by management team which support the Firm’s overall strategy.

- Success is measured through achieving client goals and objectives.
- Qualified Solicitor/Barrister (essential);
- 3+ years’ post qualification experience with a general practice background essential;
- Relevant legal experience gained in the areas of property and/or litigation;
- Previous experience dealing with receiverships;
- Knowledge of relevant mortgage legislation and industry requirements which may impact across the industry;
- Relevant legal experience gained in the financial services sector (desirable).
