Police hunt two men who fled towards Hilltown after burglary
Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary of commercial premises.
The burglary took place on the Bog Road in Attical outside Kilkeel.
Speaking to Newry Times, Inspector Graham said, “It was reported that around 3:45am on Tuesday, 4th April two males forced entry to the premises and stole a sum of cash before making off in a silver saloon vehicle towards the Hilltown area.

“The males were described as being 5’10” thin and wearing hats. One of the males appears to have been walking with a limp; it is believed he was wearing tracksuit bottoms,” he continued.
“We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity or may have seen a silver vehicle or a white van or any other suspicious vehicles which may have been in the area to contact 101 quoting reference 97 04/04/2017.
“Further, if anyone observed a silver car in the area of Spelga Dam, and any males on foot in the area overnight, to contact police likewise.

Inspector Graham added, “If someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously.”
