Positive funding news for Camlough Community Association
Camlough Community Association is to receive an additional two years of funding.
The funding, which has been approved by the International Fund for Ireland under the Peace Impact Programme, is seen as very positive news.
Sinn Féin’s Conor Murphy, welcoming the additional funding explained, “Camlough Community association, in partnership with the Muirhevnamor Community Youth Group, Dundalk, has run a successful programme of events in 2016 in the south Armagh north Louth area.

“Hundreds of young people from Cloughreagh, Bessbrook and Camlough have been the beneficiaries of the 2016 programme.
“The new funding will cover two years of programmes and three part-time jobs. The events in 2016 included classes in mental health awareness; road safety; visits to the peace walls in Belfast and confidence building and leadership training.
Murphy added, ‘This funding and the commitment of the CCA will complement the work going on in the area to build cohesion, good will and opportunities for all during 2017 and 2018.”
