South Armagh road resurfacing ‘a welcome development’ – Hearty

road worksSlieve Gullion Sinn Féin Councillor Terry Hearty has welcomed the resurfacing of a stretch of the Monog Road, which he said had been in a very poor state.

The Councillor stated, “Local residents and motorists are pleased to see this resurfacing on what was a terrible stretch of the Monog Road.

“I have to commend my colleague Megan Fearon MLA who lobbied determinedly for this work with local Roads Officials.

“Infrastructure Minister Chris Hazzard has put monies into these type of works and repairs. That itself is a welcome respite from the previous Unionist Minister who refused to even fill in a pothole here in this part of south Armagh.”
