Christmas Pub Quiz to support Albert Basin City Park Campaign
As part of the Newry 2020 campaign to help get Newry City a 15 Acre Albert Basin City Park the Albert Basin Park Project is holding a Christmas Pub Quiz on Thursday 29th of December in the Irish National Foresters, Newry.
There will be a raffle with plenty of prizes and a Newry round to get the grey matter working again after the Christmas celebrations.
Speaking to Newry Times, Newry 2020 chairperson, Brian Cleland, said, “We’d like to thank everyone who supported the Albert Basin Park project in 2016.

“At the beginning of this year we had 2,000 petition signatures – we now have over 5,000 – as well as endorsements from over 50 local schools, GP practices and community organisations.
“We’ve lots of exciting things planned for the new year, and we’re looking forward to catching up with all our friends and supporters at the Christmas Pub Quiz,” he added.

The quiz kicks off at 8.30pm and Admission is £3 per person.
