Ladies GAA team switch on Camlough Christmas lights
Shane O Neills Ladies team, who recently suffered a heartbreaking defeat in their recent All Ireland Intermediate Club Final, received a heroes welcome from the huge crowd present at the annual Camlough Village Christmas Light Switch On.
Hundreds of young people and adults gave a rapturous applause to the Armagh & Ulster Club Champions.
There was also a similar welcome for Santa Claus and his team of Elves provided by the local Youth Club. The Camlough Brass & Reed Band and the Choir of St Malachys Primary School provided the festive music and song.

There was also a Funfair in the grounds of the old school.
Local Councillor Roisin Mulgrew, speaking at the event, commended all involved in what she described as a “wonderful night of family festive fun”.

The Sinn Féin representative said, “This has been a wonderful night of family festive fun for us all. Many thanks to all who helped make this such a joyful occasion.
She added, “The Camlough Community Association are to be congratulated for their ongoing work focusing on building community confidence, cohesion, self esteem and well being.”
