The Sinn Féin elected representative praised the good work of the Friends of Derrymore. “The Friends of Derrymore in 2013 formally established a three way partnership between them the National Trust, Friends of Derrymore and the Council with the aim to take forward the long term development of a range of appropriate projects within the 110 acre Derrymore Estate, a National Trust property.
“Since then a range of events involving the local communities, young and old supported by various Agencies have taken place.
“The establishment of the Friends of Derrymore Group brought a keen focus on behalf of the local community to what was needed from within the estate for the greater benefit of the people and communities that surround it.
