Silverbridge roadworks to commence
South Armagh MLA Megan Fearon has welcomed the imminent commencement of works on the Silverbridge Road.
A 6 kilometre section of the Silverbridge Road will be temporarily closed from Monday 26th September to Friday 18th of November between 9am and 5pm for vital drainage improvements and maintenance resurfacing.
“The inadequate roads infrastructure in South Armagh has been an issue causing much concern in the area for years now,” she said.
“In South Armagh I worked with MP Mickey Brady and local councillors to highlight the state of dozens of roads in the area. This project is the result of those meetings and the first of many much needed road improvement projects in the area.
“I know the closure of the road will cause some inconvenience to road users but I trust they will understand why it is taking place and the essential nature of this work.
