Witnesses sought after theft from van in Newry

Local police are appealing for witnesses after criminal damage was caused to a white Ford Transit van and tools stolen from within the van.

PSNI CarThe van was parked in a car park on the Forkhill Road, Newry, immediately off the Forkhill Roundabout.

Speaking to Newry Times, Constable Jon McDonald said, “It is understood that the criminal damage and theft occurred sometime between 9am and 4.15pm on Tuesday 6th September.

“We are appealing for anyone who might have information which may assist the investigation to contact police at Newtownhamilton police station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 872 of 06/09/16.
