Trust HR Director wins top UK award
Kieran Donaghy, Southern Health and Social Care Trust Director of Human Resources & Organisational Development was recently named ‘Human Resources Director of the Year’ at the prestigious Healthcare People Management Association (HPMA) Awards.
The HPMA promotes and rewards outstanding work in healthcare human resources management across the whole of the UK.
Kieran was described by the judges as: “A director that demonstrates excellent leadership and an outstanding contribution to the HR profession.”
The judges also commented that: “one of Kieran’s greatest strengths is his ability to see solutions and work towards them when many others only see dead-ends.”
Congratulating Mr Donaghy, Francis Rice Southern Trust Interim Chief Executive said, “We are delighted that Kieran has received national recognition for his hard work, commitment and dedication.
“This is a very fitting and timely tribute as Kieran will be retiring from the Trust at the end of August 2016 after almost 40 years of exceptional service.
Francis added, “Kieran joined the Trust as Director (of Human Resources & Organisational Development) in April 2007, having previously been the Director of Human Resources in Craigavon & Banbridge Community Trust.
