Great funding opportunity for Newry voluntary organisations

Department for Communities Minister Paul Givan MLA has launched the 2016/17 Volunteering Small Grants Programme.

voluntary funding launch picThe Volunteering Small Grants Programme provides grants of between £200 and £1,200 to help organisations throughout Northern Ireland recruit and support volunteers.

To be eligible, organisations must be formally constituted and must have an annual income not exceeding £100,000 per year.

Lindsay Armstrong, Community Engagement Manager, Volunteer Now said, “This is an excellent funding opportunity for small volunteer involving organisations which fulfill the criteria of the grant. It will enable them to support existing volunteers and recruit new volunteers to help to meet local need.”

An information session on the application process for this grant will be held in: Bagenal’s Castle, Thursday 21st July, 2pm-4pm.
