Police want help tracing owner of Vauxhall Vectra after Newry incident

Police in Newry are appealing for information after damage was caused to a gate at premises in Mary Street on Thursday 12th May.

psni59The damage was caused between 6:30am – 7:00am and police are keen to trace the occupant of a dark-coloured Vauxhall Vectra car, which was seen in the area at that time.

Investigating officer Constable Mark Scott said, “The occupant of the car was seen at the gate before driving off and then reversing against the one-way system back to the gate, which was forced and damaged.

“I would appeal to motorists and pedestrians who were in the area at the time and may have information that could assist the investigation, to contact police in Newry by calling 101.
