Traffic disruption expected in Newry

Police have advised local residents to be aware of traffic disruption in Newry tonight.

A band parade will take place this evening and traffic will be affected between 6.30pm and 11pm.

The parade will travel from Belfast Road along Downshire Road, Church Avenue, Windsor Hill, Sandys Street and back onto Downshire Road and to the Orange Hall on Belfast Road.

Motorists should expect delays however police will facilitate traffic where safe and possible to do so.

Motorists are asked to be patient and allow extra time for their journey.
