Sacred Heart School debate ‘lively and wide-ranging’
Sinn Féin MLA Caitriona Ruane described a recent Sacred Heart School debate as ‘livey’ and ‘wide-ranging’.
The South Down candidate for the upcoming Assembly elections said, “We had a lively debate at Sacred Heart School in Newry.
“It was a very diverse panel of political representatives with an articulate group of politics students.
“A wide range of topics was discussed, including equality for Irish medium education, the importance of reconciliation, the power sharing arrangements and North South institutions of the Good Friday Agreement.

She added, “We also discussed the importance of everyone who has a vote using their vote given how hard women and men fought for universal franchise.”
