Excitement builds for Rostrevor’s Big Marquee Weekend

Rostrevor is gearing up for a Marquee Weekend of major events from the 1st to 3rd April 2016 at St Bronagh’s GAC.

6On Friday 1st April the marquee will host a special charity event called ‘Keep Er Lit’ with country singer Lee Matthews and a disco by Mini Macs in memory of Eoin Farrell and James Miskelly.

In September 2015 an accident on the Hilltown Road, Rostrevor claimed the lives of SRC students Eoin and James.

This event, organised by family and friends in memory of the young friends, will raise funds for the Kevin Bell Repatriation Fund and Cruse Bereavement.

Tickets are available from a number of local shops in Rostrevor, Mayobridge and Kilkeel – check the Facebook page for further details or email eoinandjames@gmail.com.

On Saturday 2nd April, the check shirts will be replaced with sequins and hairspray as 25 local people will take to the stage to perform in St Bronagh’s Not So Strictly event.

After more than 12 weeks of gruelling training, the village will be out in force to support the show, which is a major fundraising initiative for the Club and Vision 2019.

On Sunday 3rd April, there will be a family fun day with crafts and entertainment for young families.
