Fares freeze for Translink passengers

The Consumer Council has welcomed the announcement from the Minister for Regional Development regarding a fares freeze on bus and rail services.

_45614453_translink_ulsterbus226Speaking about the announcement, Scott Kennerley, Head of Transport at the Consumer Council said, “Value for money is important to passengers, so this is very good news.

“However, we know that many passengers could even save money by switching from paying in cash to buying better value, multi journey ‘smart’ tickets.

Scott added, “We will be working with Translink to improve passenger awareness of the best value tickets available.”
