Newry seniors to showcase their talents at the Arts Centre
Following the huge success of their last showcase, the participants of Imagine Arts return to the stage with a new variety show full of songs, stories, dance and fun.
The Imagine Concert will have something for everyone to enjoy. It will see the return of the Imagine Singers as well as the fantastic Imagine Ukulele Orchestra.
There will also be performances from the Broadway Dance group and special readings from the Creative Writing class.
Kerry Rooney, Kaleidoscope’s Artistic Director, told Newry Times, “The Imagine concerts are a wonderful way for us to celebrate all the hard work of everybody involved in the Imagine Arts Classes.
“It is wonderful to see our participants learn new skills and have the confidence to showcase their talents in front of their family and friends. It’s going to be a fantastic evening and I’m sure the audiences are going to love it.”
Imagine Arts is a unique programme of arts classes and events exclusively for older people. The classes take place every week at the Sean Hollywood Arts Centre, and offer everything from ukulele to dance, to digital photography and much more.
