Chairperson opens Newry Foster Carer Group’s resource library

Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Micky Ruane officially launched a new resource library recently.

It is located in Newry Library and was provided by Newry Foster Carer Group. Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Micky Ruane congratulated the Foster Carer Group on their initiative in securing funding for the new resource. He told Newry Times, “This will support our district’s carers, who do invaluable work for some of our most vulnerable children and young people.”

LearnSpark1“Groups such as the Foster Carers are essential to the Council in achieving our aim of offering a good quality of life for young and old, especially for those groups who may need more support than others. Ruane added, “I thank you most sincerely for all your hard work.”
