Newry police appeal for witnesses after burglar targets hairdressers

Police in Newry are appealing for information following the report of a burglary at commercial premises at a business park.

The burglary took place at premises on the Forkhill Road area of Newry on Tuesday 23rd February.

psni13Entry was gained to the hairdressing salon at around 8.30pm by a man who smashed the front door with a rock.

A number of items were taken, police say.

CCTV footage is being viewed as part of ongoing enquiries by local police.

LearnSpark1 Constable Tom Nugent has appealed to anyone who may have information which could assist officers with their enquiries to contact police in Newtownhamilton on 101.

Information can also be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
