Carnagat Community Association AGM 2016
Carnagat Community Association recently held their Annual General Meeting to showcase their achievements and to elect a new committee.
A number of residents of the Carnagat area were elected onto the committee and they look forward to another prosperous year.
The Carnagat Community Association is a group of residents who live in the Carnagat Area and act as a representative voice for all the residents of the Greater Carnagat Area.
They run a number of activities, trips and events throughout the year and represent the residents of Carnagat at meetings concerning the area and its development. The community association is based at the Carnagat Community House in Parkhead Crescent.
Most of the committee members who were elected on the night served on the committee last year due to the success that the community association has had between the previous AGM and now.
The new committee had their first meeting to elect their new officer board for the day to day running of the organisation. This officer board includes a Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer.
The new committee also hope to have an overnight planning residential to work on a strategy on how they will move forward as a committee that will benefit the community and also for some teambuilding to get the new committee working together.
The committee members who were elected for office bearer roles include:
Chairperson – Paula McGuigan
Vice Chairperson – James Treanor
Secretary – Joanne Markey
Treasurer – Colin Morley
