Sinn Féin MLA Caitriona Ruane has said that the Regional Development Minister Michelle McIlveen must ensure that there is no reduction in the amount of monies spent in maintaining roads. ruane16Speaking to Newry Times, Ruane said, “I raised the matter in the Assembly with the Minister Michelle McIlveen that the amount of money spent on repairing roads is around £31m lower than the annual average. “It is crucial for road safety that all roads are maintained to the highest standards so that we can begin to reduce the number of accidents that are occurring.
