Delight at £350,000 funding for new Bosco 3G pitch

Independent Newry City Councillor Kevin McAteer has welcomed the news that the Respect Project is to receive £350,000 in funding to develop a 3G pitch at St John Boscos Youth Club.

bosco11Speaking to Newry Times, the Independent Councillor said, “I want to commend those at the Respect Project and St John Bosco for all their hard work in achieving this funding and for everything they have done to get to this point.

“I have a keen interest in local football and I know that a 3G pitch is long overdue in the Newry area. The Respect Project have stated that they will raise £20,000 through community fundraising on top of the £350,000 that they have received and I call on the public to help them in anyway they can through their fundraising events,” he added.
