Man, 39, suffers head injuries in Newry assault

Police in Newry are appealing for information following an assault in Clanrye Avenue.

At around 5am on Sunday, 29th November, police received a report of a number of people involved in a fight.

Officers attended the area and found a 39 year old man with head injuries. The man required medical treatment.

Speaking to Newry Times, Con Adrian Mackin said, “We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or has information in relation to it. We can be contacted in Newry on 101, quoting ref: 357 291115.”

He added, “If you prefer to provide information without giving your details you can contact the independent crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
